Mystery Inc. is reuniting once again.
Netflix has announced the cast of its upcoming live-action *Scooby Doo* series, and it'll make fans of the beloved show say, "Jinkies!"
Mckenna Grace, known for *The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping *and *Regretting You**, *will play Daphne Blake. Abby Ryder Fortson, who has starred in *Are You There God? It's Me Margaret* and *Carousel*, will play Velma Dinkley. Maxwell Jenkins of *Lost in Space* and *The Bondsman* fame will play Freddy Jones.
Finally, Tanner Hagen, who has appeared on *The Pitt *and* Dark Light*, rounds out the cast as Shaggy Rogers.

Per an official logline, the Netflix series is a "modern reimagining of the iconic mystery-solving group of teens and their very special dog."
There's more: "During their final summer at camp, old friends Shaggy and Daphne get embroiled in a haunting mystery surrounding a lonely lost Great Dane puppy that may have been a witness to a supernatural murder. Together with the pragmatic and scientific townie, Velma, and the strange, but ever so handsome new kid, Freddy, they set out to solve the case that is pulling each of them into a creepy nightmare that threatens to expose all of their secrets."
*Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?* dates back to 1969 when the cartoon premiered, introducing the goofy Great Dane to the world as part of CBS' Saturday morning cartoon lineup. Since its introduction, it has become a juggernaut.

Lillard, who starred as Shaggy in *Scooby-Doo* and *Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed*, is looking forward to the Netflix series. "My general thought is that I'm really happy for them. I think that the show needs to come back," Lillard told * *in January. "We haven't done an animated series now in years, which I think is horrible. I think that it's a great way for kids to understand storytelling. It's the first introduction to ghost stories for a lot of kids, right?"
He added, "It's about friendship and sticking together as a gang and working together to solve mysteries — and that normally it's a dangerous white man behind a mask. These are the things that kids have to learn."
