"SNL UK" is taking on the allegations against Duchess Meghan's father.

In the "Weekend Update" segment of its Oct. 24 episode, the British version of "SNL" addressed the investigation into Meghan's estranged father, Thomas Markle Sr. The Sun reported on Oct. 22 that police are investigating Meghan's dad over "hundreds" of child sex images that were allegedly uncovered in his home. He has denied the allegations and called the claims "sick lies" while speaking to the Daily Mail.

"It's been a big 24 hours for Meghan Markle, whose dad has been accused of being an alleged pedophile in another pathetic attempt to win over the British public," "Weekend Update" anchor Paddy Young joked on "SNL UK." He sarcastically added that Thomas Markle moving to the Philippines in 2025 is a "sure sign of his innocence!"

"Weekend Update" anchor Ania Magliano also quipped, "If the allegations about Meghan Markle's father are true, and he is a pedophile, there is a genuine chance Meghan could be considered royal."

In a statement shared Oct. 23, Duchess Meghan said she was "deeply distressed at the news that has come to light" about her father and that her "thoughts are with any children who may have been harmed." Meghan added that she was made aware of "troubling and disturbing allegations against my father," with whom she has not had a relationship in a number of years, and was "given assurances that these were being investigated."

"I hope it can now be understood that, despite certain media publications’ distortion over the years, any distance from my father and my choice to not allow him to have contact with our children, was for one reason: to protect them," she said.

"SNL UK" previously took aim at Meghan in September after news that she and husband Prince Harry were moving back to the U.K. with their kids. In a sketch, Harry and Meghan shared the news with King Charles, who told the couple, "Don't tell me you spent all your Netflix money already!"

Cynthia Erivo hosted the Oct. 24 episode of "SNL UK," which opened with a parody of Prince William's appearance on "The Graham Norton Show." In a sketch where Prime Minister Andy Burnham (George Fouracres) watches TV on "Celebrity Gogglebox," a clip of the "Graham Norton" episode is shown: William (Freddie Meredith) insists he's "always a good sport," but when Norton (Jack Shep) asks him if his brother Prince Harry has reached out to him this week, he shoots the question down and yells, "Shut up!"
