*The View* cohosts won't be making fireworks at the Hot Topics table amid a buzzy round of America250 events taking place across the Fourth of July stretch.

New episodes of the daytime talk show aren't on this week thanks to the nationwide holiday — the period before which the long-running series has traditionally gone on hiatus in years past.

Cohosts Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Ana Navarro, and Alyssa Farah Griffin won't be appearing on live episodes throughout the holiday week as a result, with their coverage of controversy-courting America250 celebrations having to wait until new episodes of the show return after the holiday frame.

In the run-up to the holiday break, *The View* made numerous headlines for high-profile interviews — two of which are included on this week's schedule of repeat telecasts.

In addition to the cohosts' sitdown with Biden, the show posted its best ratings since the November 2024 presidential election thanks to its interview with Vance, who appeared on the show to promote his new book, *Communion*.

During a heated discussion that saw Goldberg snap on Navarro for attempting to move along with a question despite the moderator trying to throw to a commercial, the cohosts also pressed Vance on a number of current events, ranging from the release of the Epstein files to Donald Trump's comments on the economy.

The exchange also saw Behar call out Vance for his "boneheaded" descriptor of Democratic women, which saw him call them "childless cat ladies" in a resurfaced comment that trailed him during the 2024 election cycle.

After the interview, Behar admitted she wasn't as revolted by Vance as many expected. She went as far as to say she doesn't think he's a "bad guy," and, according to *View* producer Brian Teta on the talk show's *Behind the Table* podcast, even told him during a commercial break that she thinks he should run for president on behalf of the Republican party.

New episodes of *The View *return Monday, July 6.
