It's been more than two decades since French child model Thylane Blondeau was dubbed the "Most Beautiful Girl in the World" at only 6 years old.
Her fashion career began even earlier, after a chance encounter with designer Jean Paul Gaultier in Paris led to her walking in one of his runway shows at age 3, according to Tings Magazine. She went on to model for major fashion houses like Dolce & Gabbana and Hugo Boss, becoming an international sensation while still in elementary school.
But despite the global attention, Blondeau later said she had little understanding of just how famous she had become when Vogue Enfants named her the "Most Beautiful Girl in the World" in 2006.
"When you're small, you don't really pay attention," she told The Telegraph in 2018. "People are like, 'You know, you're the most beautiful girl in the world,' and you're like, 'I'm not, I'm just playing with my iPad.' "
Since then, Blondeau has built a career that extends far beyond her childhood fame, continuing to model and even topping another annual list recognizing the world's most beautiful faces. In 2026, she celebrated a personal major milestone when she married her partner, Ben Attal.
So, where is Thylane Blondeau now? Here's everything to know about her life, 20 years after being named the "Most Beautiful Girl in the World."
Blondeau continued to model

Following her rise to fame with Vogue Enfants, Blondeau continued modeling and was signed with IMG Models at 16, per Forbes.
She went on to model for Dolce & Gabbana and Miu Miu, became an ambassador for L'Oréal Paris and has appeared on the cover of the French magazine Jalouse as well as in the pages of Love, L'Officiel and other publications.
While her career began at a young age, Blondeau later said fashion has taken on a deeper meaning for her over the years.
"I've had the privilege of working in the fashion industry and using it as a platform to celebrate both my French cultural identity and my belief in inner strength and resilience," she told Tings Magazine in March 2024.
Blondeau continued, "Fashion has allowed me to communicate these themes and inspire others to do the same. It's a form of art and expression that is not only beautiful but also deeply meaningful."
She launched a clothing line and appeared in a movie
In 2018, Blondeau launched a line of casual wear called Heaven May, born from two of her middle names according to The Telegraph.
"I'm travelling a lot so I just want clothes you can wear all the time," she told the outlet of her label, which now appears to be defunct, per its Instagram. "You can go to a club with sweatpants and just a crop top."

Outside of modeling, Blondeau has also dipped her toe in performance art.
In 2015, she made her film debut in the French family film Belle et Sébastien, l'aventure continue. Blondeau later appeared in the 2022 zombie horror-comedy The Loneliest Boy in the World, per her IMDb.

The French model earned her second global recognition in 2018 when she was ranked No. 1 on TC Candler's list of the "100 Most Beautiful Faces of the Year."
Blondeau, then 17, thanked her fans on Instagram for voting.
"I just can't believe it myself ...thanks so much @tccandler and everyone who voted..I never thought i was once number one !!🙈 I'm thankful to all of you 🙏," she wrote.
She spoke out about chronic pain after struggling with ovarian cysts
In 2021, Blondeau shared with her Instagram followers that she had undergone emergency surgery to remove an ovarian cyst — a painful condition she had been dealing with over the past year when one of the cysts "exploded," per the Mirror.
When she was still in pain months after her first surgery, the model said she visited multiple doctors who all told her "the same thing, ‘don't worry U have nothing it's all in your head,' " she wrote.
Eventually, her medical team found that she had a cyst "touching" her ovary, and she underwent surgery that same day.
“Today I'm finally feeling better I'm finally feeling free I really thought I was crazy for complaining ... for so long," Blondeau wrote. "From this experience I've learned that when you're body hurts, don't let it slide and take care of it."
