- Tom Hardy, aka Frankie Pulitzer, just dropped his debut rap album, *Czarface Meets Frankie Pulitzer*.

- On the track “Grim-Visage War,” the actor recites Shakespeare’s “Richard III” monologue in his Bane voice from *The Dark Knight Rises*.

- The album also features rap heavyweights Busta Rhymes and Method Man.

Tom Hardy’s long-awaited rap album is finally here and it’s packed with pop culture references.

The *MobLand* actor, aka Frankie Pulitzer, dropped his collaboration with hip-hop collective Czarface, aptly titled *Czarface Meets Frankie Pulitzer*, on Friday.

The 15-song debut — which features Busta Rhymes, Method Man, and EL-P — includes lyrics about Marvel, Martin Scorsese, Stephen King, *Titanic*, and, naturally, a Shakespeare monologue spoken in his Bane voice.

On track 6, “Grim-Visaged War,” Hardy recites the famous “Richard III” monologue (“Now is the winter of our discontent…”) as Bane, the supervillain he famously portrayed in *The Dark Knight Rises*.

Hardy’s verse in “Raw Forever,” a collab with Busta Rhymes, begins by citing Scorsese’s 1999 psychological drama *Bringing Out the Dead* and its star Nicolas Cage, before name-checking his *Spider-Man: No Way Home *costar Willem Dafoe (and his Green Goblin character), Sidney Lumet’s *Dog Day Afternoon*, and Marvel supervillain Doctor Doom.

“Mad Technology,” featuring Method Man, finds Hardy focusing his lyrics on Stephen King literary references, like the killer dog Cujo, as well as a random crude jab at Kathy Bates, star of the *Misery* film adaptation.

“Gnawing at My Rhyme Like a Poisonous Rat” showcases the actor’s range of inspiration, from *Titanic*’s iconic “draw me like one of your French girls” — “You act amused like DiCaprio scratching his pencils to capture your figure,” raps Hardy — to *The Matrix* and Super Bowl champions New England Patriots.

A closer look at the lyrics hints at some shade towards another actor-rapper, Mark Wahlberg, aka Marky Mark (and the Funky Bunch: “I smash your bars with a bottle / Then I’ma / Mark up your face and deface / like a famous Calvin Klein model.”

Hardy’s album with Czarface has been in the works since at least 2021. Three years later, Busta Rhymes was spotted visiting the actor on the set of *Venom: The Last Dance*, sparking rumors of a musical collaboration.

Coincidentally, he cited the “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See” rapper as one of the inspirations for his character’s distinctly gravelly voice. “I mix a little bit of Busta Rhymes, a little bit of Method and Redman, a little bit of James Brown, and ever so slightly an element of Richard Burton,” Hardy told BBC Radio 1.
