Nicole Kidman apparently loves to prank, and pants, her friend and *Practical Magic 2* costar Sandra Bullock.

During a sit-down chat with BBC’s *The One Show* on Friday, Kidman admitted that, as a more dramatic actor these days, she thrived getting to revive her free-spirited *Practical Magic* character, Gillian “Gilly” Owens, in the upcoming sequel.

“I *love* playing that part,” Kidman told the BBC. “Because I don’t get to do that that often. So, suddenly, I get to be sort of the whimsical one, the one who’s like, ‘Let’s have some fun!’”

“See, that’s how I see her in real life,” Bullock noted of Kidman’s fun-loving nature. “I see her as that person. That’s what I admire most about her, she’s so incredibly free and just brave to do things where I would just go, ‘No, I’m gonna stay home. I’m good. I’m good right here where I am.’”

*The One Show* also played footage from *Practical Magic 2,* where Kidman pulls Bullock’s pants down in a scene between Gilly and her sister, Sally—with the host stating that “pants-ing roles don’t come around often enough” for Kidman.

“There’s only one person that would let me pants her, and here she is,” Kidman joked of Bullock, who said her pal “had the best time of all time” on set.

“Anytime she wants, publicly or private, do it. I don’t [care],” Bullock told Kidman of pants-ing her. “I’m prepared when I see her coming into a room, I’m like, ‘My pants are going to have to go down.’”

“Watch out!” Kidman quipped.

“I don’t know if that’s going to translate,” Bullock joked of the mischievous behavior between the duo.

Kidman and Bullock have been friends for decades, navigating the entertainment industry together as up-and-coming actors and now veteran stalwarts.

“A lot of times I don’t have fun when I’m filming because it’s more—[emotionally draining],” Kidman admitted in an *Interview* magazine chat with Ariana Grande last year, mentioning the bond between herself, Bullock, and costars Stockard Channing and Dianne Wiest.

“But I have such a strong relationship with all those women,” she added, “so I felt protected and loved. It was just very, very safe.”

Kidman was going through her divorce from Keith Urban at the time, and was most likely in a vulnerable state.

“To come back to something so many years later and go, ‘We’re still able to get this movie made at a big, big studio like Warner’s,’ and that Sandy and I were able to produce it and get it made, is insane,” Kidman added.

*Practical Magic 2* follows the Owens sisters as they attempt to break their family spell “by confronting dark secrets and sacrificing for each other,” the synopsis reads.

For the sequel, Kidman and Bullock reunited with Channing and Wiest, who play their magical aunts, and welcomed Maisie Williams and Joey King into the coven, who play Bullock’s on-screen daughters, Antonia and Kylie, respectively.

When asked about the funniest moments on set with the cast, Kidman told PEOPLE at the film’s London premiere on Wednesday, “Jumping off the roof together, all of us, was kind of crazy. [And] dancing when it was 3 a.m. in the morning and freezing cold and making it look warm.”

*Practical Magic 2* soars into theaters on Sept. 11.
