Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could "annoy" Kate Middleton if they do one thing now that they are back in the UK, a royal expert has said.

In August, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved back to Britain - the country they left in 2020 when they gave up working as senior royals.

A royal commentator has suggested that while their return may irritate certain members of the royal family, Princess Catherine is unlikely to be significantly bothered by her brother and sister-in-law's presence - unless they overshadow her most significant charitable endeavors. The Princess of Wales is well-known for her chairty work and recently set up an initiative to help children.

Although no longer working royals, the couple has wasted little time making their presence felt, with the pair believed to be committed to undertaking charitable engagements. This was demonstrated last week when they visited several charities in Nottingham and conducted a royal-style public walkabout.

Speaking to OK! Magazine, former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond stated, "I'm sure she will be annoyed if her work is overshadowed by something Harry and Meghan are doing, but she won't let it distract her. She will be the voice of reason, and I think she will encourage William to face forward, get on with his job and not be bugged by their activities."

Bond further added, "As she has said, cancer gives you a new perspective, and she probably feels life is too short for grudges. It may look like a rival court, but it seems the Sussexes are here to stay, at least for the foreseeable future."

While Catherine's work has yet to be overshadowed by Harry and Meghan, it appears the Duke partly upstaged the Sultan of Oman's state visit to Windsor this week. This is largely because when the state visit began on Tuesday, an interview Harry gave to GQ was simultaneously published.

In the interview, Harry weighed in on "drama" within families. When questioned about whether he mourns the relationships he once shared with his brother and father, the father-of-two responded, "Yes, of course.

"I think from a family perspective, again, another massively relatable issue for so many people: sibling disagreements, broken relationships between kids and their parents, kids and one parent.

"That continues to come up with me the whole time with people that I speak to, so I know how relatable it is. People may look at us and go, 'How are you gonna work it out?' Maybe that will help me work my stuff out."

He went on to say, "Some people don't want it to work out. I want it to work out. With everything else that's going on in the world, the most important thing is to reconcile-that's the key point. [...] Scars stick around forever.

"But what your perception is, and what your mindset is to those things that have happened, letting go of the past. That's something that I would encourage everybody to do: If there's certain things from the past that are still affecting you every day, that's harder to let go of. But, for me, there's enough drama in the world and enough drama in people's lives to continue with issues with family."

Whether intentional or not, the timing of the interview's publication - coinciding with the state visit - is expected to cause friction with the Royal Family. Nevertheless, they are not anticipated to issue any public statement regarding the matter.
