Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's most recent statement concerning their Nottingham visit included a mistake.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex received an enthusiastic reception at the Community Recording Studio (CRS) in St Ann's, Nottingham, during a series of three quasi-royal public engagements throughout the city.

In a statement published on their website, the duke and duchess addressed their visit, declaring that "it's great to be back."

They indicated they spent the day "reconnecting with the community they have long supported," noting that it represented a "special homecoming" for them, given their initial visit to the city occurred in December 2017, shortly following their engagement.

However, on the website, it seemed that two sentences appeared consecutively in the second and third paragraphs. The remainder of the statement outlined each of the three visits to charitable organizations associated with the couple.

It subsequently noted that the day underscored the resilience of Nottingham's community organizations, which were "evident."

The statement read, "For The Duke and Duchess, returning to Nottingham was an opportunity to reconnect with a community close to their hearts and reflect on what comes next.

"Across the work here, a common thread emerged: opportunity grows through relationships built over time, the commitment of people who support one another, and places where everyone feels a sense of belonging."

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have faced backlash for what critics are calling a "cosplay" royal walkabout during their opening day of joint public appearances on British soil since returning to the UK, reports the Express.

At their initial appearance, the couple headed straight for the assembled supporters, mirroring a classic royal walkabout - greeting people warmly, clasping hands, embracing fans and posing for selfies with attendees for 20 minutes. They were swarmed by admirers eager to catch a glimpse as they left.

Several prominent voices in royal circles have now condemned Thursday's display as "royal cosplay." Hannah Furness, royal editor at The Telegraph, suggested the Sussexes have returned to precisely what they claimed to reject.

She said, "Harry and Meghan are back to Nottingham, back to hand-picked charity visits they still call 'engagements', and back to walkabouts. Back to accepting flowers, inviting the press to cover them, and doling out hugs to anyone in the vicinity.

"Back to the life they said they did not want, except this time with none of the boring bits, or the duty that being a working royal entails."

She described Thursday as feeling like "a bit of a challenge to the King." who, together with the late Queen Elizabeth, had hoped that "a line could be drawn between the working family and the selling of jam."

Meanwhile, Kate Mansey, royal editor at The Times, argued that despite stepping back from the Royal Family six years ago, the Sussexes orchestrated a "day full of royal déjà vu moments."

She further alleged that their presence prompted Palace courtiers to describe the circumstances as "intensely frustrating."
