Kate Middleton playfully shut down a rumor about Prince William in the couple's 2010 engagement interview

ITV's Tom Bradby inquired about her having a photo of her now-husband on her wall as a young girl

Kate Middleton and Prince William's 2010 engagement interview is still full of fun revelations about their relationship.

The nearly 18-minute interview with ITV News’s Tom Bradby, the couple’s longest to date, playfully touched on a rumor that the Princess of Wales hung a photo of Prince William in her bedroom when she was a young girl.

“There’s a story that goes the rounds, that you had a picture of him on your wall as a child,” Bradby said in the interview, which was filmed at St. James's Palace in London.

“There wasn’t just one,” William interjected, laughing. “There was like, 10, 20.”

“He wishes,” Kate said coyly. “No, I had the Levi’s guy on my wall, not a picture of William, sorry.”

“It was me in Levis, honestly,” William cheekily added.

The couple, who met as students at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, were friends for more than a year before they began dating in 2003. They got engaged in 2010, after William proposed during a private holiday in Kenya with a stunning Ceylon blue sapphire and diamond ring that previously belonged to his mother, Princess Diana.

“It's my mother's engagement ring, so I thought it was quite nice because obviously, she's not going to be around to share in any of the fun and excitement of all this," William says in the 2010 interview. “This is my way of keeping her sort of close to it all.”

“It’s very, very special,” Kate adds.

The engagement interview included details of the proposal and even addressed their brief split in 2007.

“To be honest, I wouldn't believe everything you read in the paper, but in that particular instance we did split up for a bit,” William said of their breakup. “We were both very young, it was at university, we were both finding ourselves as such and being different characters and stuff, it was very much trying to find our own way and we were growing up, it was a bit of space and a bit of things like that and it worked out for the better.”

Kate added, “I think at the time I wasn't very happy about it, but actually it made me a stronger person, you find out things about yourself that maybe you hadn't realized. I think you can get quite consumed by a relationship when you are younger, and I really valued that time for me as well, although I didn't think it at the time.”
