Karoline Leavitt has stepped down from her role as the White House Press Secretary to focus on motherhood and spend more time with her 2-year-old son, Niko, and newborn daughter, Viviana. However, rumors are already circulating about her next potential career move. Reportedly, the producers of the political talk show, The View, are considering her for a full-time hosting role following her exit from the White House. However, this might not sit well with Donald Trump, who has repeatedly expressed his disdain for the show.
The latest development suggests that Leavitt could join the panel of the ABC show, which consists of Whoopi Goldberg, Sunny Hostin, Joy Behar, Ana Navarro, Alyssa Farah Griffin and Sara Haines. The show has drawn attention for its panelists’ frequent criticism of the Trump administration.
The View Reportedly Wants to Bring Karoline Leavitt on as a Full-Time Host
The producers of The View are reportedly considering the former White House Press Secretary for a full-time position as the host as she completed her last day at the White House on Thursday, Aug. 27.
According to a news report in The Daily Mail, ABC producers reportedly want that the 29-year-old joins the show as a guest first which will also give them a sense of how her entry on The View is received by the audience and how well she connects with the existing group of panelists.
The ABC representatives are speculated to have let their interest known in hiring Karoline Leavitt for the show to her inner circles, but the official negotiations are yet to begin.
An insider close to the development has further revealed that the mother of two may have received an invitation to appear as a guest on the show. However, Donald Trump might not be pleased by speculation that Leavitt could appear on the show as her next career move.
Donald Trump’s Disdain For The View
Although sources claim he is open to the idea, Trump’s extreme disdain for The View is not a hidden fact. According to a news report in The Irish Star, he has earlier called the show’s panelists “really d-mb people,” and called the show “stupid.”

The president has also personally targeted the panelists of the show like Whoopi Goldberg and Sunny Hostin. Targeting Hostin at an October 2024 rally, he said that she is “d-mber than Kamala,” further saying, “That is one d-mb woman. She’s a fool.”
For Whoopi Goldberg, the POTUS made a throwback reference to the time when he had a cameo appearance in her comedy film, Eddie at a 2024 Pennsylvania rally where he said, “I did a walk-on for Whoopi Goldberg now she says ‘I refuse to mention his name. You know what, politics can do strange things to demented people.”
Meanwhile, some MAGA supporters were also left unhappy following the rumors of Karoline Leavitt appearing on The View doing the rounds on the internet. One of the social media users wrote, “I would not watch one second of it. I love Karoline but despise The View so I won’t support them even for a second.”
Another X user added, “Why would she stoop to this? Hope its a silly rumor.” Another user chimed in, “This would be a stupid thing to do.” Another social media user said, “If its true, then this is lame. Sorry, no amount of money is worth this.”
