Katy Perry is celebrating her 42nd birthday, and while she hasn't revealed how she plans to mark the occasion, fans have already been paying tribute to her online.
The Roar hitmaker has had a busy year so far, marked by a major musical resurgence, the release of a new concert film, and high-profile personal milestones.
Her romance with former prime minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, 54, has been in the headlines ever since the pair confirmed their relationship, following the singer's split from her ex, Orlando Bloom, 49.

The former couple, who share daughter Daisy, revealed that they were splitting in July 2025.
In a joint statement, their representatives said Katy and Orlando had been "shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting" their daughter.

Katy and Orlando were together for about nine years, spanning from when they first met at the beginning of 2016 until they officially confirmed their split and ended their engagement in July last year.
The singer and the actor first met and bonded over In-N-Out burgers at a Golden Globes after-party in January 2016.
The following month, Orlando introduced Katy to his son Flynn, who was five years old at the time. His mother is Orlando's ex-wife, Miranda Kerr, 43.
In May 2016, the couple made their relationship official on Instagram after attending the Cannes Film Festival.
Over the next few months, they went on vacations together and also celebrated Thanksgiving with Katy's family.

After a little over a year of dating, the former couple broke up in February 2017.
Following speculation from fans - as the pair had arrived separately at the annual Vanity Fair Oscars party and didn't spend much time together at the event - a statement from their representatives said, "Before rumors or falsifications get out of hand, we can confirm that Orlando and Katy are taking respectful, loving space at this time."
In April of that year, Orlando insisted that they remained friends and things were good between them.
Echoing his comments, Katy wrote a message on X - then called Twitter - asking fans to avoid speculating about their split.
"HOW BOUT A NEW WAY OF THINKING FOR 2017!?" she tweeted. "U can still b friends & love ur former partners! No one's a victim or a villain, get a life y'all!"

A source said that while they were dating, they were "not necessarily putting a label on it."

On Valentine's Day - February 14, 2019 - Orlando proposed to Katy on a rooftop in Los Angeles, with her family and friends in attendance.
The couple started living together in March 2019 after Orlando sold his home and moved into Katy's property, which was more private.
A source told People at the time that Orlando's ex-wife knew Katy and didn't have any problem with their children spending time at the singer's house when Orlando had custody of him. "Everyone is getting along great," the source said.
In July 2019, Orlando explained that even though he and Katy were often apart due to their work commitments, which require them to travel across the world, they still managed to make their relationship work.
They welcomed their baby in 2020
Katy announced her pregnancy in March 2020, in the music video for her song Never Worn White, which ended with a clip of her in a white sheer dress caressing her baby bump.
That same month, the couple also decided to postpone their wedding - which was planned in Japan for the summer of 2020 - due to the coronavirus pandemic.
On August 27, 2020, the proud parents announced the birth of their daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom, through Unicef, a charity that they are both Goodwill Global Ambassadors for.
Over the next few years, they lived as a family, raising their daughter while also working on their separate projects.
Katy also indicated that she may want more kids with her partner, while Orlando gushed about the singer in several interviews.

The representative said the pair had been "shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting."
Since their split, exes have reunited for family events, including attending a musical in London alongside their children.
Orlando also expressed deep gratitude for their time together, while Katy reflected on the split as a difficult transition period.

Weeks after her split from Orlando became public, Katy began dating former Canadian PM Justin Trudeau.
The couple officially debuted their relationship in Paris and have since been seen traveling together internationally, including during Katy's Lifetimes Tour stops.
Reflecting on the timing, the singer admitted that the period surrounding the breakup was incredibly difficult, but noted that her support system stepped in right before she met Justin.
Orlando has also moved forward, dating Swiss model Luisa Laemmel, 28. In public comments following the split, The Lord of the Rings star emphasized that there is "nothing but love" between him and Katy.
