Eli Roth is partnering with Insight Editions to create a line of horror-inspired books launching in 2027

The Horror Section, founded by Roth in 2025, focuses on horror films, TV, games, podcasts and immersive experiences

Roth says the collaboration will bring his many untold stories to life in a collectible and innovative format

Eli Roth fans will soon be able to not only watch his horror creations, but read them as well.

PEOPLE can exclusively announce that the famed director is partnering with publisher Insight Editions via his media company, The Horror Section.

“Eli Roth has built a global following through his distinct voice and deep understanding of the genre,” said Insight Editions Publisher and CEO Raoul Goff in a press release shared with PEOPLE. “We’re excited to partner with The Horror Section to bring their bold and imaginative storytelling into the publishing space."

"This collaboration allows us to expand the boundaries of horror publishing with a list that is immersive, collectible and full of unexpected twists for fans across the globe,” Goff continued.

Founded in 2025 by Roth, The Horror Section "super-serves horror fans by owning and controlling a premium intellectual property library of unhinged films, television series, and games, in addition to a podcast and curating horror-centric experiences," according to an official synopsis.

In the same release, Roth, 54, says that he has been "a longtime collector of Insight Editions and their top-of-the-line books with some of my favorite creators."

"I have always wanted to start ideas in story form — some short, some long, some illustrated — and they can help turn those ideas into beautiful collectible editions," the Borderlands writer and director said. "I have hundreds of stories to tell and not all of them will be films, and I look forward to collaborating with them on every level. They're an amazing team, I’m so excited to work with them.”

Under the deal, Insight Editions will launch a line of horror-inspired books beginning in 2027, spanning fiction, lifestyle, interactive formats and more.

Ice Cream Man hits theaters on Aug. 7 and to celebrate the partnership, Roth will sign posters at the San Diego Comic-Con Insight Editions booth on Friday, July 24 from 5-6 p.m.
