Maisie Peters had a special surprise for her fans in Australia.

On Wednesday, March 4, Ed Sheeran made a surprise appearance at Peters' show in Melbourne to perform a duet of his 2017 hit song "Castle on the Hill."

The "Lost the Breakup" singer, 25, who opened for the English singer-songwriter on tour in 2023, shared a clip of the performance on Instagram and wrote "singing with my boss [ed sheeran] <3"

In the caption section, she wrote, "thank you @teddysphotos for singing the best song ever with me at my show in melbourne tonight."

"Still remember watching you play this one all 60 something gigs we did together, and it was so magical getting to join you on it for one. The best to ever do it," she concluded.

The "History of Man" singer is currently on the road for her Before the Bloom Tour in Australia. In May, she's set to release her third studio album Florescence.

Sheeran, 35, is in Australia for his Loop Tour — and next he'll take off for a show in the Dominican Republic on May 9. The "A Team" singer is set to wrap his shows in November.

Peters and the "Shivers" singer previously performed together at Peters' show at London’s OVO Arena Wembley. At the time, they played his song "Lego House."

In 2023, Peters opened up to PEOPLE about the inspiration behind her sophomore album The Good Witch.

"To quote my lord and savior Taylor Swift, 'We're happy, free, confused and lonely at the same time,'" she began "So funny that I just did that. But I don't know, I always want to have a whole reflection of myself. I wrote this album between 21 and 22 and that's how I tell."

At the time, she said she considered it a "time capsule" of her life at age 22 — and failed relationship played a big role: "To me The Good Witch represents… there's femininity in that, there's power in it, destruction. There's a sense of control, which I love," she said.

"I was very much the creator of my universe in this album, I got to pull the strings. I have a lyric in 'BSC' where I go, 'I can write you out the way I wrote you in,' and I think that feels appropriate for the cycle. It reflects that sense of power. I'm not always enacting it in my real life, don't get me wrong, but I think that perspective was really good for me in making this album," she said. "Because obviously on the first album I was very heartbroken and it's ironic the way that turned out for me was obviously not in my power, and that's maybe why I was so inspired and The Good Witch made me able to take that back."

Sheeran released his eighth studio album Play in September. Days before the release, Sheeran stopped by iHeartRadio Canada and revealed that his next album, Rewind, was already almost finished.

"I made Play and Rewind at the same time," Sheeran said. "We finished Play first because it felt like the most exciting one. So, Rewind is... I'd say two months off being totally locked and loaded and ready to go. And I guess at some point in the next 18 months, it will come out."

The "Dive" performer continued, "But yeah, they're very much like twin albums, I guess. One was one lent more into Indian culture and one lent more into nostalgia. So they kind of veered off in different directions."
