Former Dance Moms costars Kendall Vertes and Chloe Lukasiak discussed their relationship to dance today on a recent episode of Vertes' Not So Little podcast on April 30
As she applauded Lukasiak, 24, for returning to dance, Vertes, 23, admitted she's not sure if she would do the same, though she said she considered trying out for an NFL squad at one point
The podcast host said she was hesitant to go in that direction since that specific part of the dance world has been associated with reality television, namely in the case of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders
Years after her starring stint on Dance Moms, Kendall Vertes is hesitant about taking career opportunities that could put her back on reality television.
The 23-year-old welcomed her former costar and Abby Lee Dance Company teammate Chloe Lukasiak, 24, on an episode of her Not So Little with Kendall Vertes podcast on Thursday, April 30. During their conversation, Vertes applauded Lukasiak for returning to the dance world, as she also announced on TikTok in March.
As Lukasiak explained on the podcast, she was inspired to get back into the studio after seeing a showing of The Devil Wears Prada musical adaptation in London.

"I'd hate to turn 60 and be like, 'I can't dance anymore, and I missed out on all the years that I maybe could have [gotten] back into it,'" she told Vertes. Additionally, Lukasiak admitted she is "really scared" of dancing, and she doesn't want anything to have such power over her.

"I do go back and black out in class and stuff because I get so petrified," she added. Vertes affirmed, "That's just natural for us."
The podcaster ā who first joined the Dance Moms cast at 8 years old, during the hit TLC series' second season ā reflected on her own relationship to dancing. She said she wasn't sure she'd ever get to the point where Lukasiak is at now, but Vertes noted that she danced in college. "That was kind of my closure," she added.
"I thought about doing NFL dancing, but again ... now that there's reality television shows surrounding it, do I really want to go back down that alley? Like, I want to enjoy dance without that intertwined into it again," said Vertes, referring to the likes of the Netflix series America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.
Lukasiak asked if Vertes would ever try dancing again "on her own time," and she responded with some uncertainty. "I mean, maybe. Honestly, I'd rather go to a Pilates class and hit arms and legs," said Vertes, adding, "But again, I just ... I'm so petrified of it."
