When Chef Ben Robinson joined Below Deck Down Under Season 4, he was fresh off the heartbreak of his cancelled wedding. But now it seems his life has turned around, and Ben has a new girlfriend.

On March 2, Ben was a guest on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. Ben came in with the good news that he now has a new love interest. Though he wasn’t willing to share any details, he admitted, “I have found a better half, and I’m very happy right now.”

Appearing alongside Ben on WWHL was bestie Kate Chastain. Though they’ve always had chemistry together, the pair have never really gone beyond being just friends. And no, Ben is not the father of Kate’s son Sullivan Cay.

During their WWHL appearance, Andy asked why they were never romantically involved, since they get along so well. “I’m not sure,” Kate responded, looking at Ben for more clarification.

“Maybe we didn’t endeavor hard enough,” Ben said.

“Yeah, we should have tried harder,” Kate laughed.

Throughout BDDU Season 4, Ben has been very open about his breakup with former fiancée Kiara Cabral. He accused her of cheating on him with one of his friends, although Kiara refutes his story.

Whatever happened between them left Ben in a very emotional state. Perhaps that was why he was so hard on his original sous chef, Alesia Harris.

“I think that maybe I wasn’t quite healed,” he explained during the Below Deck Down Under After Show. “That’s the thing. You never know until you scratch that emotional surface. I was away from … my otherwise reclusive life, but you never know until you put yourself back in the field.”
