Angelina Jolie reveals she hasn't dated since her divorce from Brad Pitt

Angelina Jolie said she's been too focused on her children to date following her divorce from Brad Pitt.
She said her new movie, Couture, was a reminder that she can be a mom and a woman in love.
Jolie shares six children, ranging from 17 to 24, with Pitt.
Angelina Jolie has not dated since her 2016 breakup with fellow actor Brad Pitt.
"To be candid, I haven't dated since I divorced a decade ago," the Oscar winner, who rarely comments on her personal life told Yahoo Entertainment in a recent interview. "So I kind of get in my head that that aspect of me is not centered in my life if I'm focusing on my children, my family."
Jolie shares six children with Pitt, from whom she filed for divorce in 2016, after two years of marriage, following an incident on a private flight. They met on the set of the 2005 movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

Their children are Maddox, 24; Pax, 22; Zahara, 21; Shiloh, 20; and twins Knox and Vivienne, 17.
The exes battled in court for eight years, before settling their divorce in December 2024.
In her new movie, Couture, Jolie plays an American filmmaker, Maxine, working at Paris Fashion Week. She's also a mother in love with the character Anton (Louis Garrel). She learns some shocking health news while in France.

Jolie said the role gave her new insight.
"It took me a second to kind of say, well, she can also love her daughter and be dedicated to her daughter and also need this as a woman and receive this as a woman," Jolie said.
Before Pitt, Jolie's love interests included Billy Bob Thornton and Jonny Lee Miller.
Earlier this month, the actress and director told Variety that her career had taken a new direction once she left her marriage.

"I had kind of quit acting before my divorce,” she said. "I was focusing on directing, and I thought I’d be doing my international work." But, "suddenly the only way to be home more and for short periods of time being away or to make a good amount of money, was to go back to acting."
She added that she was feeling renewed.
"I think my fighting spirit is finally back," the Salt star said. "I lost it for a bit. I got kind of taken down a little bit, and it’s coming back in large part thanks to my children, who are now older, and encouraging it."
