Several co-stars have competed on Dancing With the Stars--and some's relationships didn't survive.
Several co-stars from fan-favorite shows have competed on Dancing With the Stars over the years, and thankfully, for most, the competition hasn't hurt ther long-standing friendships.
The dance competition series, which is currently airing its 35th season on ABC, has welcomed a number of sitcom, drama, movie and reality show co-stars to its cast over the years, sometimes pitting them against one another in the same season, or even comparing their journeys several years apart.
While the show has had notable tension between the pros and judges over the years, the competition between former and current co-stars has largely remained drama-free, as many have thankfully maintained close relationships outside of the show.

Of course, several have experienced trouble following their time on the show, with issues such as political stances, needs for personal space - and sometimes the competition itself-causing some unexpected rifts.
Here's a look at some of the most notable co-stars who have appeared on the show and where their relationships stand today.

Perhaps the show with the largest number of co-stars to compete on Dancing With the Stars was 90s teen/young adult drama, Beverly Hills, 90210, with four of the show's eight main cast members taking turns on the dance floor over the years.
Ian Ziering placed fourth during the show's fourth season, as did Jennie Garth in season five. Brian Austin Green then joined the show in season 30, where he placed 13th, while Tori Spelling joined in Season 33-placing 12th after being cut in the show's first double elimination.

Largely, the former 90210 co-stars do all still get along and Dancing With the Stars didn't have an effect on their friendships - though Garth and Spelling have been going through a tense period of their long friendship.
The pair's relationship allegedly became strained after Spelling suddenly exited their Beverly Hills, 90210 rewatch podcast abruptly in July 2026, with Page Six reporting that the pair's relationship had unraveled.
"Jennie has been completely unresponsive and not there for Tori as a friend. She hasn't checked up on her after her many hospital visits and divorce," a source told the publication at the time.
However, another source also insisted the reports weren't true, and the two remained "great friends" despite their professional split.

While there was plenty of alleged drama behind-the-scenes due to romantic relationships and hook-ups at the time, Dancing With the Stars didn't do anything to tarnish the later-in-life friendships between former The Brady Bunch co-stars Florence Henderson, Maureen McCormick and Barry Williams.
Henderson competed on the show's 11th season, placing eighth, while her on-screen children competed later, with McCormick also placing eighth when she competed on season 23, and Williams taking seventh in season 32.

It appears things are still warm between the co-stars, and were at the time of Henderson's death in 2016, just after McCormick's run on the show.
Henderson notably supported McCormick during her run, not only appearing in the audience to support her, but aking a cameo during her week two routine. She was also present at the taping of the season finale-just three days before her death at the age of 82.
As for Williams, who competed several years after her death, his thoughts about Henderson were clear, as he dedicated his Motown night performance to his TV mother, McCormick was also on hand in the ballroom to cheer him on during his season.

Tatyana Ali is currently competing on the show's 35th season, and there's no question if she and the show's current host-and season 19 champion, Alfonso Ribeiro-are still getting along years after they starred on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air together.

Not only has Ribeiro repeatedly held her hand and shown her support as she continues to compete, but he teamed up with Ali during her dedication night dance, which honored their late on-screen father, James Avery.

Candace Cameron Bure competed on season 18 of Dancing With the Stars, memorably taking third, while her Full House co-star and on-screen sister, Jodie Sweetin, placed sixth during the show's 22nd season.
The pair's Fuller House co-star, Juan Pablo Di Pace, also did the show, taking fifth during the show's 28th season, where he was shockingly eliminated before the finals in a brutal double elimination, despite having top scores all season long.

Yes and no. While both women get along well with Di Pace, and largely still have a good relationship as well, there has been reported tension between the former on-screen sisters, who have very different political and ideological issues. Sweetin known to be a progressive activist, while Bure is a conservative Christian.
However, while the pair admittedly don't see eye-to-eye, Sweetin has denied that there is any major rift between them.
"People often pit me and Candace against each other, and the thing is, at the end of the day, her name has never come out of my mouth," she said on the McBride Rewing podcast in April. "This is just who I am and what I believe, and if that isn't something we share, cool. I'm not going to change anything. I can still have a relationship with her where I can hug her when I see her. I love her. I don't want bad things to happen to her. I will respect her, and her ability to do whatever."

Harry Shum Jr is currently competing on Season 35 of the show, and seems poised to be a major Mirrorball contender - but he wasn't the first Glee cast member to take the ballroom by storm.
Amber Riley competed on and won the show's 17th season, while Heather Morris competed on Season 24, but was shockingly eliminated despite receiving the season's first perfect score, placing eighth.

The Glee alums are still tight and have all been supportive of one another in the years since the show's end, including on Dancing with the Stars.
Riley and Chris Colfer were both spotted in the audience cheering Shum on, and Riley even contributed her vocals for a performance.
Morris has also reportedly been at tapings, reuniting with Shum Jr as a sign of support alongside Riley, Colfer and Kevin McHale.

Jersey Shore has been well-represented on Dancing With the Stars, with three of the shore's alums all taking turns on the dance floor - and publicly supporting one another along the way.
Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino competed on season 11, taking ninth, while Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi placed eighth on season 17. Vinny Guadagnino competed on season 31, taking seventh.
The cast has all notably been supportive of one another despite the competition, with Guadagnino's run marked by his co-stars support. Sorrentino appeared in the audience alongside DJ Pauly D to cheer him on, while Polizzi supported him from afar, giving him advice on how to mke it further in the competition, pledging all of her votes to him, and giving him endless support on social media.

One strained relationship shattered for good after DWTS (Image: Getty)
One case of a relationship that appeared to be on the rocks already seemingly frayed permanently after Dancing With the Stars - when Secret Lives of Mormon Wives stars Whitney Leavitt and Jen Affleck faced off against one another during the show's 34th season.
Things got off to a tense start when Jen indicated on Secret Lives that she felt Whitney had her lifelong dream of being on the show, with Whitney stating that they could both have the same goal. Things further fractured after Whitney landed the role of Roxie Hart in Broadway's Chicago, with Jen failing to congratulate her immediately, leading to a confrontation where Jen said Whitney was only transactional with their friendship.

After Jen was eliminated during week 7 of the competition, things came to a head between the two, after cameras caught Whitney briefly smiling before covering her mouth at the announcement. She said was her being relieved she had not been eliminated herself, though it was perceived as a celebration of Jen's departure.
Hurt, Jen then took to social media after her elimination and brought their feud to the spotlight by stating she would not root for Whitney during the rest of her run. Fans saw how that continued to play out on Secret Lives, after Jen sent her husband, Zac, to a meeting with Whitney that was meant to clear the air - but made things worse.
The two were also still at odds during the fifth season, with Whitney expressing surprise when Jen joined her co-stars at Whitney's opening in Chicago. Today, the pair appear to remain cordial as co-workers-but are no longer close friends.
