Caitlin Clark once again reminded the WNBA she remains a top player in the league during Sunday's dominant 113-90 win over the Chicago Sky. But it wasn't just her stat line drawing attention afterward, it was a viral photo showing the visible toll the physical style of play has taken on her body.
Clark finished with 37 points, 10 assists and three rebounds, going a career-high 8-of-12 from three-point range as Indiana closed out a 3-2 road trip.
The performance marked the fifth career game in which Clark has recorded at least 30 points and 10 assists, a new WNBA record, with the rest of the league combining for only four such games in league history. It comes after Riley Gaines' 'problem' with Clark on Charlie Kirk show met with backlash.

"HER. Caitlin Clark has FIVE career games with 30+ PTS and 10+ AST," the Fever wrote on Instagram. "More than the rest of the WNBA has combined in league history (4)."
Amid the celebration of the record-setting night, a photo began circulating widely on social media showing extensive scratch marks covering Clark's left arm following the game.

The post quickly drew renewed attention to the physical treatment Clark has faced throughout her three-year WNBA career.
The photo comes after a season already defined by numerous high-contact incidents involving Clark.
She was previously involved in a physical altercation with Connecticut's Alyssa Thomas, who was suspended after making contact with Clark's throat, and had another tense exchange with Dallas' Paige Bueckers, who grabbed Clark's arm attempting to draw a foul during a recent matchup.
Fever teammate Sophie Cunningham has also become known throughout the season as something of an on-court protector for Clark, a role that traces back to a physical altercation last year against the Sun.

Sunday's win also carried additional storylines beyond Clark's performance. It marked the first meeting between Indiana and Chicago since DiJonai Carrington's ejection for a hard foul on Cunningham earlier this month, and both Cunningham and Carrington saw limited action in the rematch.
Kelsey Mitchell added 30 points for the Fever, while the win officially eliminated the Sky from playoff contention.
The game was further overshadowed by an unrelated incident involving former NBA player Enes Kanter Freedom, who was ejected from the arena after a confrontation with Sky guard Natasha Cloud, part of Freedom's ongoing protest against the WNBA's transgender eligibility rules following his and Royce White's declarations for the 2027 draft.
Indiana next hosts the Connecticut Sun on Friday, looking to build on a season that has repeatedly seen Clark's individual dominance run parallel to the physical and cultural storylines swirling around the league.
