Kate Middleton first attended Wimbledon as a royal in 2011, a few months after marrying Prince William.

The trendsetting Princess of Wales has since been an annual fixture at the ritzy tennis championship.

Kate often wears A-line midi dresses to the event, stunning in tenniscore-inspired details like pleats and polka dots.

Kate Middleton has gone to Wimbledon almost every year since marrying Prince William in 2011, meaning royal watchers have been treated to dozens of chic courtside style moments from her. Since 2016, she’s also handed out the winner’s trophies in her role as patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, per People. Today, Wimbledon without the princess is hard to fathom.

While the Royal Box serves up stiff competition as the likes of Nicole Kidman, Keira Knightley, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Olivia Rodrigo take to the stands in their finest summer duds, Kate still manages to stand out with her signature elegant A-line dresses. Over the years, she’s favored her usual roster of English labels—with the occasional exception. In 2019, when she attended with sister Pippa Middleton and sister-in-law Meghan Markle, Kate wore a dark green Dolce & Gabbana dress according to People. In 2023, meanwhile, she stepped out in a mint-hued Balmain blazer.

When she’s not wowing with her regal fashions, the Princess of Wales is making headlines for sharing cute moments with William and their kids at the prestigious tennis tournament. Purple is the most royal color, so it’s fitting that the Princess of Wales chose the hue for her 2024 Wimbledon Men’s Singles Final look. Her ruched Safiyaa dress again nodded to one of the tournament’s official colors. "Kate has a history of choosing clever, whimsical themes for her Wimbledon looks, and this was a new one," Bethan Holt, Fashion Director at the Daily Telegraph, told People at the time, adding that purple is “the color of courage.”
